Ten Ways to Support the Gateway Construction Program

1. Sponsor a Gateway student with a $3,000 contribution

2. Sponsor an entire Gateway class of 12 with a $36,000 contribution

3. Sponsor a graduation ceremony and luncheon with a $500 contribution

4. Provide the set of tools used required by a Gateway graduate to start employment with a contribution of $100 to $300

5. Donate materials used by students during the five week training session. Each class uses about $1500 to $2000 worth of materials

6. Attend the Employer Mixer and Job Fair held the third week of each class session

7. Hire a Gateway graduate

8. Serve on the Gateway Business Advisory Council

9. Attend a Gateway graduation ceremony

10. Volunteer as a keynote speaker at graduation

Hundreds of 9- to 14-year-olds participated in the Central Texas FIRST LEGO League (FLL) program thanks to the amazing support of parents, schools, mentors from local high tech companies, colleges and universities, and tons of volutneers.  Students engaged in hands-on probelm solving with LEGO Robotics while researching real-world issues and creating their own solutions. "This event was amazing," an FLL student participant said.  "My team had such a wonderful time. The energy and enthusiasm were unbelievable."
