2009 Statistics
Since 1994, Gateway Construction has graduated more than 1,000 Travis County residents. Of those graduates, approximately 50% went on to take jobs in the construction industry, 25% took a non-construction job, and 26 went on to continue their educations.
Gateway serves 100 participants annually over eight classes.
Gateway graduates 75% of enrolled participants.
Gateway assures that 75% of graduates obtain employment or continue education.
Gateway attains a 75% level in employed graduates obtaining employment at a livable wage of at least $9 an hour.
Gateway attains a 75% level in employed graduates retaining employment for at least six months.
Assessment Methods
Gateway's program output and outcome measures are obtained through:
- Participant self-reportng of employment and continuing education
- Using participants' social security numbers to query The Workforce Information System of Texas (TWIST)
- Conduct follow-up phone surveys of participants to obtain employment status
- Contact employers to obtain participant employment status
