Skillpoint Hosts Science Thursday at Bob Bullock

Skillpoint Alliance hosted a Science Thursday on April 16th, and gave hundreds of students the opportunity to explore the Bullock Museum, watch demonstrations, and participate in hands-on activities with STEM experts from Central Texas Discover Engineering. Skillpoint and CTDE staff  facilitated entertaining activities for more than 1000 kids, allowing them to interact with elements such as the Van de Graaff  Generator, create boats and speed racers, and test various experiments. 3M Awards Skillpoint volunteer Walter Romanko

Skillpoint Alliance was excited to receive a $250 donation from 3M, in recognition of Dr. Mr. Walter Romanko contributing over 100 hours of volunteer time to the Central Texas Discover Engineering (CTDE) program, which connects schools with engineers who host a hands-on project to raise awareness about the excitement of STEM careers. Skillpoint hosts the Austin Education Jam

The Austin Education Game Jam was held March 7th-14th 2015. It was a follow up event to the White House Game Jam in support the President’s vision that education should be fun, interactive and serve student’s needs.
